A Message from the Rabbi for 2022: Resuming the 'Livestream'!

Dec. 22, 2021 / 18 Teiveit, 5782

Shalom everyone,

I hope you are all feeling well, and finding ways to enjoy this time of year.

I’m happy to share the good news with you that we are planning to resume our “hybrid” services in early January 2022 – that is, our services will be both in-person and live-streamed!

Thanks again to Ayelet and Stephanie who were my extraordinary “tech team” during the very challenging 18 months of Covid closures. They will now be guiding the transition from themselves to our new tech team, consisting at this time of Robin, Tatiana, Lou, and Aryeh – welcome to the new team, and many thanks to you! We also thank Lou very much for covering the cost of our new computer equipment dedicated to the livestreaming.

As things slow down at this time of year, with many people away, with MASKIT on winter break, with many being hesitant to venture out or be in proximity to others due to current Omicron concerns, and with the tech transition in the works – for the next two Shabbatot (December 25 and January 1) we will be having our “Learn/Zmirot/Kiddush” gathering, accessible only via Zoom (the building will be closed). I will be leading these get-togethers from my home, as each of you is relaxed in your homes, as we join together at 11am. Don’t forget to bring wine/grape juice, challah, and a sweet morsel, for kiddush. The links for these two Zoom meetings and the handouts will be forthcoming in the Friday Flyers.

I look forward to seeing you on Zoom on Shabbat!

Wishing to all and each of you a fruitful, healthy, worthy, happy, and meaningful 2022 ahead!

Bivracha,

Rabbi Pearl
